WHO WE ARE
THE GREEN EDGE NETWORK OF PREFERRED PROVIDERSGreen Edge, LLC, is a Green Building consulting/law firm that was founded in 2007 by Ellen Sinreich to provide strategic sustainability services to businesses and governmental entities. Given the constantly evolving technologies, talents and perspective that going green demands, Green Edge has developed the
Green Edge Network of Preferred Providers: affiliates that offer outstanding talent in the technical, financial and legal environmental arenas, including LEED® Accredited Professionals, building construction experts, energy engineers, climate scientists, marketing, branding and public relations strategists and legal, financial, tax and real estate industry practitioners. We have intentionally kept our “in-house” team small – that way our clients have the best of both worlds: a vast GOING GREEN resource bank at their disposal, as well as a personal relationship with a boutique consultancy.
THE GREEN EDGE in-house Team
ELLEN SINREICH
Ellen Sinreich, LEED AP, Esq., is the Founder and President of Green Edge, LLC. After two decades as a real estate executive and attorney, Ellen recognized that the need to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment would transform the real estate industry. She formed Green Edge to provide clients with practical, cost-effective carbon footprint reduction strategies as the basis for competing and winning in the 21st century.
Ellen draws upon her sustainability, management, real estate and legal expertise to help clients achieve peak performance results by greening their companies and their real estate portfolios. Her projects range from the development of a 2,500 acre multi-university campus in the Middle East and an existing 250 acre planned community in New England to luxury high-rise and mixed use projects in the Southwest and the creation of a regional framework for financing energy efficiency improvements in the Northeast.
A graduate of Columbia Law School, Ellen was general counsel for a national real estate company operating properties in 24 states prior to founding Green Edge. She is on the faculty of New York University, chairs the annual Green Real Estate Summit, is the Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s CRC Gold Council and a member of the Environmental Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well as the former New York State Government Affairs Chair of the ICSC. Ellen is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and The Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Her publications include: The Business Case for Sustainable Real Estate; The Evolving Picture of Energy Efficiency Retrofitting of New York City Office Buildings; A Collaborative Framework for Greening the Office Lease; Greening the Retail Lease: A Practical Guide for Landlords and Tenants; and The Greening of Retail: What’s the Bottom Line?
